This shop has better quality souvenirs than most but also a little more expensive. More fixed pricing than others but can possibly barter a little. The shop has been there a long time and we have bought before on previous visits.

BEST ART SHOP IN SAMUI. A must see place to visit! Unlikely you will go home empty-handed (I never do!!). Contemporary and traditional styles of aetwork, with a range of sizes. Shipment can also be arranged. Cash and credit cards accepted! Combine a visit with a trip to the Big Buddha Temple. Double Dutch is located at the foot of the temple.

Some lovely objects for sale, the gentleman in the shop was very curtious towards me as I removed my shoes before I entered his shop. It used to be the custom in Thailand but very few visitors do it now due to the numbers. He gave me very good discount on a item that I had noticed a few days earlier.

Wat a beautiful things are sold here! Yes upscale price but it shows!!!! We bought 3 very beautiful statues for a resonable price, 2 of them out of copper, so nice.

Have you ever come across a business that doesn't welcome customers who want to spend money? I made a special trip to this shop with intention of buying several items. Unfortunately, on arrival the owner would not permit me to enter his shop, in fact he acted very strangely and was insulting. I have been to this shop many times before - the staff previously were helpful and courteous. I wont be back, such a pity to see this happen, it used to be a great asset to Koh Samui.

Just tried to visit this shop at Big Buddha and was told by the proprietor that he "wasn't interested" when I tried to open the door. He said he "only opened for friendly, sociable people". I'm not sure what 's going on in his life that he should be so aggressive and insulting to customers, I was was shocked speechless. What did I do/say? I literally only tried to open the door which was locked and looked confusedly at my mother in law as a sign on the front door had told us to go round back. She suggested it might be closed but there was a man sitting at the coffee bar just inside so I turned to look at him and said 'are you closed?'.
I'm sad to admit we've been there before but there was thai staff who were friendly. Wish I'd never given him a penny and certainly won't be taking any guests or recommending it to anyone again except to suggest you don't support such a negative character with your business.

Do not visit this shop if it is lunch time, if you are with children, or if you just want to have a look. The man running this shop is disgustingly rude, and should not be able to to act towards customers as he did towards us today, when we were looking around with my daughter and wife. A horrible man. A shame as the stuff in the shop looked quite nice slightly more upscale than the standard rack, though nothing special. In a country to courtesy, it would not be right for such a person to be successful.
