On our trip to Abu Dabi, the tour guide took us to Miraj Art Center. I was sold a rug for 1350 AED. The seller said the rug was 22 karat gold and that the gems were real. He lied. I was robbed of my money.

BE CAREFULL!! there is a guy working there who is a scam. He will mislead you and he will charge you lots of money for a so called "golden carpet" dont go here!!!

Peças que dizem ser ouro e pedras preciosas, é uma loja e não um museu.
O guia nos levou lá como parte do tour por Abu Dhabi, e como fechamos o passeio através da agência dentro do Radisson (hotel) imaginamos que não seríamos enganados da forma que fomos. Também faremos reclamação ao site oficial do hotel e a agência “your choice” que está dentro do hotel. Todos fizeram parte desse teatro que passamos.

Please don’t buy any stuffs from this Art Centre.
Selling it at very high price.
10-20 times expensive.
And the Guy over there who selling these product is a number one fraud.

SCAMMERS!!!
Don't buy what they called the "gold" carpet at 1000$ US. They told that we'll never seen this kind of carpet elsewhere... pff
It's fake gold and in Madinat jumeirah sell it for 400 dhs...

NICE PLACE TO VISIT IN ABU DHABI

I Really don't understand why this place has bad commentaries because is a very artistic and beautiful Art Gallery with items inspired in the history of Islamic Art.

Miraj Islamic Art Center is an ART GALLERY! The people is misunderstanding because the tour guides called it MUSEUM. That’s why many people are feeling a bit concern or thinking that they are being cheated.

The people apparently don’t know the concept of ART GALLERY. If you go to an Art Gallery you know you are going to see Art pieces but also you can buy, is the same here. I really enjoyed the art in this place and the explanation of how the carpets with gold, gems and stones are made.

Visit to miraj museum was terrible and we get stolen

Do not go to miraj museum. Shame to abu dhabi who allow this company to work. It is sure not museum and they sell things 20 times more expensive. But experience causes to this event. Shame!!!!!

Misleading Name

My definition of Art Gallery certainly differs from this attraction. For sure there are number of very nice displays, but, less than two minutes in the building we were escorted into a room where one person spruiked the merits of the various carpets while another spread them on the floor for us to view. Its didn't take them too long to discover that we were not interested. Strolled through other rooms, the 1st floor showroom and out.

Do not be misled by the name "Art Centre". Apart from a handful of "Not for Sale" items, practically everything, mostly mass produced souvenir stuff, can be purchased, and if you are visiting as a group, you will be subject to a courteous but mandatory briefing on the very pricey rugs and carpets. Disappointing.
