If any one is looking for banan chips from Calicut then this is the spot . Chips are made on the spot and comes in thick and thin . Fried in coconut oil and crispy this is easily the best chips . Got four packets for my office and got over in hour wirh demand for more …. Opposite hotel paragon this is a must buy if one wants to take home chips

There was no standing room in this delightful little shop. The taste of all the chips was exquisite and very reasonably priced. Keep it up Kumari Wafers

We tried the chips frm here for first time frm my sis-in-law (localite, so knew te best pick)..aftr tat v r hooked..its simply te best..near to te iconic paragon hotel n a must buy if in calicut

Kozhikkode is famous for banana chips. Ok from where to buy? 'Kumari' is a nice spot to buy banana chips. An old styled shop near head post office and opposite to the Paragon restaurant. Go for fresh and crispy banana chips, an ideal place.

Great place to buy banana wafers and halwa. The chips are made right outside the shop. Go early to avoid the rush. Wish they would also fry the chips in vegetable oil. This would give customers an option of buying either coconut fried chips or vegetable oil fried chips. The halwa is delicious...so is the badusha and jhangeri...........

Kumari Chips next to Paragon Restaurant is a very small crowded outlet specialising in banana chips. There was so much crowd that it is difficult to buy the chips. However, the chips were very good and worth the struggle to buy it.

If you happen to visit Calicut, do visit this old fashioned shop and buy a pack of fresh and crispy banana chips (wafers) from here.
This is one of those places that are known to locals but may not be known to visitors since from the outside this looks like a run-down place. But trust me, you cannot get better banana chips anywhere else.
Chips are thin and crisp, and they have deliberately kept the salt levels relatively low, which makes it healthier than other typical chips.
It is easy to locate this shop, since it is bang opposite the most iconic restaurant in town - Paragon. Just hop into an auto rickshaw and tell him to take you to Paragon, and look around and you cannot miss this shop, with heaps of raw banana bunches in front of it.

I have been visiting this place many times from past 2 years. The taste of the banana chips with the aroma of coconut oil is awesome. He fries it using firewood and the outer covering of coconut. You get absolutely fresh chips which is empty within evening. Also try the raw jackfruit chips which is seasonal

I visited this place after reading the review in trip adviser and I am not disappointed. Banana chips we bought are fried in front of our eye and packed. Thinly chopped with the mild fragrance of coconut oil its a must to buy when you are visiting the place. Tasted yummy and can be stored for a long time. Loved the small little shop.

Extremely thin and crispy banana chips. the best available in Calicut. The shop is opposite paragon and it very easily accessible. Fresh crispy wafer thin banana chips which I haven't found anywhere else :)
