This tour was so worth it to get away from the crowd and see some beautiful quiet spots. Our guide Hina was amazing, so friendly and welcoming and told us so much about the shrines and the religion. Highly recommend!

Ken was amazing and so welcoming to Kyoto. We had such a lovely time exploring the city with him! We never would have found such cool local spots without his guidance. Our night out felt more like spending time with friends than taking a tour. Highly recommend!

Really good bar hopping tour in Kyoto, the guide Kent explained a lot re Kyoto history ,and took us to local places to eat and drink, really enjoyed it, recommended it for the local experience

Unsere beiden Guides Nobu und Aina haben uns überaus freundlich und mit offenen Armen empfangen, sodass wir uns gleich wohl gefühlt haben. Neben der tollen Auswahl an Restaurants mit sehr leckeren Mahlzeiten (und Getränken), haben die beiden auch viel Hintergrundwissen und Kulturelles zu Kyoto mit uns geteilt, sodass wir mehr als Glücklich mit dem Abend und der Tour sind und sie jeder Zeit wieder buchen würden.

The tour was fantasic. My partner and I had no experience of sake, but love trying new food and drinks. The tour takes you around a brewery museum where you learn about the process of making sake, and try your first samples. You then head to a large izakaya and sample lots more!
Peco our tour guide was absolutely amazing. Her knowledge of the area and of sake was very impressive. She was incredibly friendly and we both really enjoyed chatting with her as we sampled the sake.
Would definitely recommend to other travellers. If friend were visiting Japan I would even go again with them!

Akiko was an amazing guide! She took some amazing photos for us as well This was an amazing way to spend our last day in Kyoto. Worth it to avoid the crowds and find a different way to the shrine. We would definitely do again.

Es war ein schöner Abend in Gion. Die Guides Aina und Nobu konnten viel über die japanische Kultur erzählen. Die kleinen Lokale die wir besuchten, hätten wir alleine nicht gefunden.

Yosuke was a wonderful tour guide! He is a Kyoto local and an excellent English speaker. He spent a lot of extra time with us, and taught us local Japanese dialect (my wife and I are big into languages, and it was really fun seeing the local faces light up with surprise when we said a local dialect word). The food was quite delicious and Yosuke explained what everything was, and was very responsive to all our questions. Highly recommend this food tour! One thing to note, there are set budgets for Nishiki market browsing, so just be sure to bring some extra cash if you want to purchase extra items (think 1-2 items included in the tour). There are so many delicious things in Nishiki market that my wife and I could not help but buy extra souvenirs and treats to take home.

Quite a bit! We were impressed by his knowledge of the area and the history of the Gion tea houses. If you take this tour you will visit local restaurants that most tourists don’t get to go to. I highly recommend!
