So the Kimono rental is a separate business from the tea house, but they have a relationship with each other and are right around the corner from each other. The tea house links you to the Kimono rental place, but your reservations with them is separate. You get the Kimono all day if you want and can certainly walk all around with them, which I recommend because the whole area is filled with great picture opportunities. I was so sad to give my Kimono back at the end of the day. Also, you can rent it as early as you want before the tea ceremony.

However, since we need a quite moment during a tea ceremony demonstration for about 10 minutes, if your child makes noise or moves around, we ask you to wait at the waiting room.
