Excellent olive oil, especially the flavored ones. You'll learn a lot about olive oil, their attention to quality, and their production process. Their flavored oils are a big surprise, because they contain only the infused flavor oils of whatever herb is used, so there's no pulp, particulate matter, etc. The lemon olive oil can be sprinkled onto your salad greens, with a bit of salt, for the best salad dressing; the jalapeño olive oil has a distinct pepper flavor but is not hot, very good for cooking savory items. I was intrigued by the difference between their spanish and italian olive oils, certainly more distinctive than what you would find in a grocery.
Watch out for their dogs, they are extremely adept at begging for the little bread cubes given for oil tasting. Now I wonder if the dogs noticeably increase their sales.
Then walk across the street to Brander Vineyards for a tasting. So convenient.

How can you not stop by when you’re greeted by the friendliest dogs?! The Olive Oil tastings were incredibly delicious. It was a spontaneous yet highly educational visit. The different choices to sample were outstanding. I highly recommend visiting Fred, Sharon and their adorable and friendly dogs.

So fun to taste olive oil at Rancho Olivos! You get to taste at their super cute "farm stand" right in the middle of the olive trees! John & Shannon are so nice and knowledgeable! You will learn so much about extra virgin olive oil. I love the Italian, and the garlic! Also I loved seeing the horses and their friendly dogs! Great experience!

We were on a wine tasting tour when I asked about olives and our driver was kind enough to make a quick detour to Rancho Olivos. What a little gem! Not only did we buy their Italian Blend Estate Olive Oil, Meyer Lemon Olive Oil but Sage Blossom Honey and Balsamic Vinegar as well. We were greeted by 3 very friendly dogs who held down the fort till the owner came out to help us and have us try the different varieties of oils, honey & vinegars they had. If you are in the area it’s worth the stop!

Fomos muito bem atendido no local, degustamos 6 azeites e 2 balsâmicos!
O local deixa muito a desejar, o balcão de degustação é um local improvisado dentro de uma chácara um pouco bagunçada, mas que nada atrapalha no propósito.
A dono, muito simpática e solicita, deu um bom desconto nas comprar, e as miniaturas de azeite são ótimas lembranças. Melhor azeite é o de pimenta jalapeño.

We had lunch and it was pretty good. Been there several time and enjoy the food and shop. During the summer it can get hot but overall it’s a nice place to eat & shop.

I found this site when I was searching the internet for a place (or website) to buy quality extra virgin olive oil. I did a little research and thought the next time I was on the west coast I would travel to Santa Ynez and try some samples for myself. Glad I did.. I tried about 8 different flavors and settled on 2 garlic flavored. Shannon was helpful with some shipping suggestions. While I will most likely have items shipped in the future, I will drop if I am in the area.

My wife and I visited Rancho Olivos Olive Oil company as something as a break from wine tasting and really enjoyed the visit. We arrived just as they were setting up for the day and that gave us us time to hang out with the greeting party of family dogs, including a bossy Corgi with a queen complex and a wonderful old rescue dog! What fun it was. The olive oil we tasted was quite nice with strong flavors and we bought a bottle and a jar of equally potent honey. FYI: I really don't care how the oil is made as a reviewer references and we found the owner to be a very informative woman who would have been glad to explain the process if you wanted to hear it. Me? I'd rather pet the dogs! While minutes away from Los Olivos it can be a tad hard to find but it's worth the trouble. Enjoy.

We visited Santa Inez valley for a day and had a few stops in the Vineyards for wine tasting. Between two of them, we stopped at Rancho Olivos to taste the olive oils. The women was very nice! It was very tasty! We finally bought few bottles to bring back home!
