After visiting Elstead & Tilford we brought our friends to see both the Little and the Big Pond. We parked for free at the far side of the pond opposite the cafe area and walked around to get a cake and coffee in the cafe. It was a lovely afternoon, and we all enjoyed the walk and the refreshments. Lovely location and certainly worth a visit.

amazing views and really enjoyed watching the offroad bikes and cars on the byway nearby walkers are welcome to use the BRIDDLEWAYS which are for no vehicles its like people have gone silly if u are on a ROAD expect traffic even if its a ancient road thank god we have a whole community keeping this open and maintained. amazing pond

We love this Pond and often stop and park up near the "ford crossing area". On this occasion we took my youngest son and his new girlfriend with us. She absolutely loved the open countryside and pond area which she though was just superb. We walked around part of the pond and ended up on what was a really lovely day at the café. We sat in the sunshine eating ice creams and watching the world go by and the wildlife enjoying there surroundings. If you have never been before it really is worth a visit and you will enjoy the walks, beach area and wildlife. We will be back again and would certainly call in to the café.....

Should be such a lovely location but poor signposting, out of order car park machine, rutted car parks, unreadable map boards, aggressive free running dogs and awful coffee leaves much to be improved

A beautiful walk with lots of different scenery and places to sit and admire the view. The 'beach' was smaller than expected although it didn't bother us. Would not hesitate to visit again.

This place is beautiful. Lovely walk - on sand for a lot of it so it won't suit everyone. Purple heather and gorgeous trees. Careful for the bikes which has been mentioned by other people - they don't really care about the people walking and travel VERY fast through the main walkways.

A lovely little place to go for a walk, sit on the beach (no barbeques unfortunately), watch the birds etc.
I didn't see any 4x4s as reported by some recent reviewers.
There is a café at the pond too, and toilets, which is useful. I was a bit annoyed that the car park nearest the pond is now a National Trust members or pay via app one. Why can't machines just take cash like in the olden days?? I refuse to download an app or make a long phone call to just park my car....but this seems to be the way of the world right now....anyway, rant over!
There is another car park a bit further away, I'm not sure if that has the same system in operation.
Otherwise, I had a pleasant time here as I always do.

I went on a lovely walk with some friends only to find out that the school frensham heights got in the way of the walk , with the blinding solar panels and no pathment to walk I HAD TO WALK ON GRASS #poowalk got to frensham ponds only to find a small smither of poo #poo walk .

Why are you letting huge groups of scrambler bikes and 4x4 off roaders ruin such a lovely area ... its polluting and dangerous

Nice country park with good walks and facilities. Nice views and varied landscapes. Theirs also a cafe, toilets and birdhide.

All the way round might be tricky! Just because the north east section path of the pond area is very sandy. The rest is either woodland paths and abit on road past hotel.

We are a family group and looking for somewhere that the children can paddle and use their bucket n spade, we can bring the dog and use a small bbq. Where they can walk and play in the trees. Had planned for seaside but the weather is not looking great so dont want to go that far.

I always wonder how deep is the little pond as many young children including mine love going in for a splash there although it seems quite shallow for a distance out, I can't help but feeling that such information should be made known to public in the national trust website. Does anyone know?

My hubby is disabled as well and I find it very irritating that there is no disabled parking outside the Café area. We have started parking on the road outside the turning for the café. We just love the place. Fill in there questionaire and mention no disabled parking. Maybe if more people said about it they might do something.
