Yes. They sell them 2 weeks in advance. Cost is only $2. You may want to park in the larger lot off the highway. It is still very close. The lot adjacent to the falls fills up quickly.

From what I gathered there is a $2 fee only between May and Sep 5th. There are also two parking lots. One accessible from the 84 freeway which does not charge parking, we did not pay anything. Nor did we have to do any reservations there. There is one closer on the "Historic Columbia River Highway" that I am not sure. They have made it quite confusing really . Check out recreation.gov for details before you go.

The road is narrow and a bit windy. If you get vacationers traveling, which I would expect, you could have some delays. I would give a little extra time. If you don’t need it, it’ll be because you got lucky

Yes there is a difference. Almost all of the falls in the Western United States have their peak water flow in the spring from a combination of snow melt and rain. The falls are beautiful at any time you go, but max water flow should be, I think, March through June.

I don't have current info for that situation . Go to ODOT.gov to see if they have good directions for travelers. There is a restaurant and lodge at the falls, maybe you can call them directly and get specific info ? If you get there really early in the day ... like 6- 7 am , you will have time to look at options. Stare at a good map closely ...there are several diff offramp and parks and falls along that 5 mile stretch of Hwy 84. All of the falls are accessed by the Historic Columbia River Highway , which runs parallel to Hwy 84 . It can be a traffic nightmare if you get stuck with all the cars at the wrong time . Yes it shouldn't be too difficult to navigate with a stroller.

In the middle of the week its not that bad. It’s more important to get there early on a weekend.
