This is an easy to walk to place in downtown with grassy grounds and a reflection pool. I did not get the chance to go inside but admired the building from the lawn. I would imagine it to be much more beautiful in spring when the flowers are blooming. The only downside is the large amount of homeless hanging around the grounds, but they did not bother anyone

We have never been inside but have been to pride several years in a row since they moved pride to around city hall. It's a wonderful area and feels like a safe space where we can be ourselves.

My review is for the exterior grounds. I've never been inside the building itself but when I worked downtown - or now meet friends there - it was lovely it sit on the edge of the large reflection pond to eat lunch or visit. I think the limestone building itself is nice and a wonderful contrast to some of the newer metal and glass skyscrapers that now loom over our city hall. Enjoy the view!

Es un lugar muy dinámico en el corazón de Houston. Música al aire libre, buen ambiente, lugares de interés cultural cerca.

The grounds in front of the city hall are absolutely beautiful in March. There are multi colors of azaleas lining the edges of the grassy area and reflecting pool in front of the city hall. They are amazing. If you are wanting something to do in March, be sure to walk around. However, In my opinion, it’s not worth going to if they aren’t blooming

You would think that the guard at the front doors would give it away with his post-apocalyptic wardrobe made out of old tires and needless shoulder spikes, but once you get inside you are immersed in a sea of chanting and dim lighting that would make Dutch nervous (movie reference, catch up kiddos). A cage soon appears and you are trust into one on one combat with what would appear to have been the hot dog vendor you just passed outside, except now he is wielding a trident instead of a pair of tongs. As you scramble to avoid a certain death you will notice a black cat bathed in a yellow light sitting just off to your right. Now of course we all know what this means......SECRET QUEST!!! You will need to make a run for the cat and grab it quickly. This will take you to the 13th floor where you can now perform your civic responsibly - JURY DUTY.

I was not very impressed with the old building. The whole downtown area is a bit dull. There are homeless everywhere, and it was a bit sad to see that.
I went there during my layover, and I was done after 20 minutes of being at city hall and the area around it.

Si te gusta la arquitectura moderna aquí podrás disfrutar de un gran edificio en el cual se ve como se aprovecharon al máximo los espacios del edificio, además en la parte exterior se encuentra un excelente jardín en donde se pueden tomar magníficas fotografías

I wanted show my daughter city hall while we downtown at the Houston central library across the street. We were able to get a great lunch from one of the food trucks that alone the streets around lunch time. A nice place to have lunch and do business.
