“Lovely small church”

ヒューストンを通る6マイル（徒歩）の散歩の途中で数分間立ち寄りました。場合によっては、数分間座るための静かな場所を見つける必要がある場合もあります。ヒューストン・アストロズの本拠地、ミニッツ・メイド・パークの近くにあります。とても素敵なインテリア。

アストロズスタジアムの真向かいにある美しいカトリック大聖堂。午後5時のミサに参加し、この美しい教会に直接行きました。それは私にナポリとパレルモの古い教会を思い出させました。それは巨大ではありませんが、目にはとても楽しいものでした。全体に美しい芸術。

Lovely small church

Stopped in for a few minutes on our 6 mile (by foot) walk through Houston. Sometimes you just need to find a quiet place to sit down for a few minutes.

Located near Minute Maid park, home of the Houston Astros. Absolutely lovely interior.

Traditional Latin mass offered within a tight knit, embracing community.

Beautiful church located across the street from the Astros stadium. The atmosphere is wonderfully here. Very open and welcoming to newcomers and visitors within the tight knit community of worshippers. The masses are all said in Latin with a more traditional way than a lot of catholic churches nowadays. My family lives locally and I look forward to time spent with my family together there.

Beautiful Catholic Church

Beautiful Catholic Cathedral right across from the Astros’ stadium. Went in for 5pm mass and got to this beautiful church in person. It reminded me of the old churches in Naples and Palermo, not humongous but quite pleasing on eye. Beautiful art throughout.

Went to 530 mass on Saturday March 5. Priest faces front of church. Hadn't seen that in about 50 years. Just a bit of info. The priest serves both spices for communion. He dips the host into the blood and he places host on your tongue. No other choice. It was fine with me, but just a bit of info. Very welcoming.

Beautiful place of worshop

We were in Houston for a baseball game while on a baseball bus tour and we passed this church. I was struck by the beauty of the building. We spent a bit of time there on the way to the game. Very peaceful

Left wanting more

We visited on a late Sunday afternoon about 1 hour before the 5:30pm mass. We found the Cathedral completely locked up. We understand in these times that even a church has to protect its resources but it is sad that one can not visit and have a moment of reflection...and take in the beauty of this incredible place.

Houston's oldest and historic Catholic Church!

We went to mass to this beautiful church in downton Houston, the mass was nice, traditional, and the church's stained glass windows are gorgeous complementing the architecture and high ceilings. We parked in the Incarnate word parking lotm behind the church. The Church offers both the Tridentine Latin Mass and the Novus Ordo Latin Mass for those who prefer to attend mass in dead languages. We went to the 9:30 am English mass and was not full.

Old but beautiful church with traditional Latin Mass in downtown Houston

My wife and I were in Houston to attend my computer software conference. Being a Sunday, we checked and searched for a Catholic Church and learned that in 2 blocks was the oldest Catholic Church of Houston, the Annunciation Catholic Church. The 8:00 am and 11:00 am Sunday masses are in Latin. We woke up early to attend the 8:00 AM which was the traditional Tridentine, a fully Latin high mass as compared to the 11:00 AM Latin Novus Ordo mass. It brought chills and pleasant memories of my childhood; remembering the Latin prayers as an altar server I read from a cheat sheet to answer the Priest Latin prayers... The Latin hymns and songs were so solemn... Yes the modern mass has the participation of the people/parishioners in prayers and hymns which is very good and influential to young people/parishioners. But for once in a while, when there is such an opportunity to attend the old traditional Latin mass, I love to attend it as it brings lots of good memories... like remembering my departed Mom and Dad as they brought us, their children early Sunday morning to attend these old masses in the 60s...

Beautiful church in downtown

During a break at a recent conference at the convention center, my wife and I attended the Latin Mass(11am Sundays). It was a beautiful service in a beautiful church. Very welcoming community. They also have Eucharistic Adoration. Such a spiritual oasis in the heart of downtown Houston.
