Una vera azienda agricola che a colazione offre al meglio i propri prodotti. I proprietari sono cortesi, gentili e disponibilissimi. L'azienda è tenuta benissimo, immersa nel verde di distese immense di ulivi e alberi da frutto e orti. La piscina, tenuta benissimo e circondata dal prato verde e adeguate postazioni ombrose e ventilate, è molto silenziosa e davvero suggestiva. Eccellente luogo per rilassarsi immersi nella natura e circondati dal silenzio. A pochissima distanza da luoghi di notevole interesse sia naturalistico che archeologico. Luogo ideale per trascorrere giorni di relax nella pace più assoluta eppure comodo punto per fare base e girare in libertà le zone limitrofe che offrono bellezza a mai finire (dal parco archeologico do Selinunte, alla scala dei Turchi, Agrigento e la Valle dei Templi, a Bovo Marina e Secca Grande con la riserva della foce del fiume). Nonostante i giorni di canicola non abbiamo mai utilizzato il condizionatore la notte. Magnifico davvero.

Agradecemos infinitamente el recibimiento y la atención hacia nosotros, nos hemos deleitado con el aroma y la frescura de sus productos artesanales de primerísima calidad. Recomiendo todo en general, el vino rosé una delicia y la la Antipasti femomenal. Felipe y Cristina unos genios, nos hicieron sentir parte de la familia. Una buena excusa para conocer Menfi.

After a visit and a scheduling mis communication we are headed back to Menfi to the Montalbano Organic farm. Arrived there and went to the store. We were buzzed in right away. Virginia was there to greet us and told us that Antonino would be there. He got there and told us that he was moving to the front of the store to pick us up. So we went out front and climbed into Antonino’s car. He said first to the olive trees and then to the grape vines. He talked the whole way. He told us about the farm and about the laboratory where he does analysis and experiments on the grapes to make the best wines and all of the other products they currently make. He also said they will soon have some new products. I asked if he did other things along with the farm? We found out he is a teacher of chemistry, science and math. Got to the olive trees got out and Antonino told us about the trees. How long they can live, how long before a new tree will produce. I told him that I had on my bucket list to pick olives from an olive tree in Italy. He said absolutely so they took pictures of me picking olives from the tree. Very cool. Then we got back in the car and drove to the vineyards. He showed us two different grapes. The first was a new grape. Purple on the outside but the pulp inside was a beautiful red. They tasted so good. Then we saw a shiny green grape. Tasting them, they were such a sweet grape. He told us all about wine production. Then we headed back to the store. When we walked in the table was set with breads covered with the spreads they produce, some cups of 2 other products. The mother Cristina came in and another relative named Rossa Maria was there. They were all so very kind and friendly. A bottle of wine they made was opened. It was very good. I had decided to buy some things and have them shipped. Laura was buying things with the plan of putting them in her checked bag. We were all laughing and the Mother asks do I have Facebook. So we are all pulling up our Facebook accounts and friend requesting each other. It was one of those belly laugh moments. When we had finished our orders we left after much cheek kissing and hugs having made some really nice friends. I will be happy when the Montalbano products can be ordered on line and I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of my box. In the meantime we can e-mail them and arrange a delivery. I know quite a few of my American family and friends who would love their products. I would highly recommend a visit to the farm and store. It will be a lifelong fond memory for me.

Otroligt vacker miljö att spendera dagen i. Först besökte vi de olika fälten för att se och smaka de olika druvorna samtidigt som vi fick fråga och låta oss om allt. Sedan fick vi besöka deras destilleri för att sedan åka vidare för provsmakning av vinerna tillsammans med lite olika tapas! Rekommenderar verkligen detta ställe!

Mysigt, pittoreskt och underbar upplevelse med grym guide! Spenderade några timmar ute på fälten och se druvorna för att sedan avnjuta 7 olika hemgjorda tapas till egengjorda viner! Rekommenderas!

En otroligt fantastisk upplevelse med väldigt gott och trevligt bemötande. Besökte vingårdarna, fick se hur processen går till. Och sedan vinprovning med tilltugg. Värt att uppleva!

We went to this shop in Via Michelangelo on recommendation of a good friend. Although the opening hours (that we checked only at arrival) said "closed" we luckily and surprisingly got attended by someone (as we later knew: the shop owner's mother). She introduced us to the wide rage of their products (olive oil, wines, vinegars, jams, herbs, spices, tomato concentrates, you name it) very competently and friendly. Some of their own production is certified (or in the process of being certified) organic and all just looked really attractive. You can also try many different things before buying. We communicated in a mix of French, Italian and English, no problem :). If you can't take your favourite products with you in the plane, like in our case, they are really helpful with arranging the logistics (dependent on where you want to ship to it might not work out though). Otherwise you find the Azienda Agricola Montalbano once or twice per year on fairs in Ettlingen, Germany (twin town of Menfi). We're know impatiently waiting for our organic olive oil to arrive... Thanks for all the help!

Greetings! I am having a problem with the website translating from Italian to English. Is this both a farm and a shop? We would like to stop by and wanted to know what time the shop is open on fridays. Grazie!

Hi, sorry if I write now, Yes is a farm and shop. the shop open everyday (no sunday) from 9:00 to 13:30 and from 16 to 19:30 if you need more information just ask me. The farmer is my friend.
