It certainly is a lovely part of the walk - and the views across to the woodland from the river are lovely too. The old apple orchard (on the other side of the track to the car park) is actually owned by Vale Landscape Heritage Trust who are doing a great job of looking after it and helping to provide connected orchard habitat to our own orchard near the car park.
