Hi there,
My husband and I will be in Maui (Lahaina) via Princess Cruise which due to Dock at 7am.
From your opinion if we book whalewatch trip depart at 9am (Classic) will we make it in time ( we have 1st priority disembark from the cruise)
Thank you in advance for your help.

In your case, I would only do a trip out of Lahina (not Ma'alaea) inasmuch as your ship will be docked at Lahina. Look at PacWhale's website for type of trip and times. There is a 12:30- 3:00PM tour out of Lahina during Dec-April -- check it out.
I looked for ways to read reviews on the specific tours and couldn't find anything. I like all 3 of these tour options but don't know what would be best for my husband and me. I'm looking for feedback or experiences others had.
1) Whalewatch Deluxe Ma'alaea on a double deck powered catamaran with 45 passengers. Tour led by a certified Marine Naturalists
2) Ultimate Whalewatch with the Experts Ma'alaea on a single deck catamaran with 18 passengers. Also, live interaction with onboard whale Researcher and Certified Marine Naturalists.
3) Whalewatch Deluxe Lahaina on luxury sailing vessel with 49 passengers. Tour led by certified Marine Naturalists.
I do not believe that it this boat was wheel chair accessible, but there were many people aboard that had walkers and canes. The boat was set up very nice for people that have limited mobility.
The snorkel trip to Molokini, my mother would like to go. She's 82, and mobile. Can she float with noodles? Do you have noodles? Is it easy enough to get in and out of the boat?
Thank you for any input.

We were there last week, and the waves were rough. It was quite tough getting up the ladder and as a triathlete, I'm in good shape. If she has assistance getting up, she probably can do it as it's only about 3 steps.
Would you say there’s a big difference in your whale watching experience between end of February versus end of March? I heard the whales leave town around mid-march?
Are full body 2mm neoprene wetsuits needed in January when going to the Maui crater?
Would short sleeve/shorts wet suit be preferable? I want to spend a long time in the water and don’t want to get chilled wherever we go.
We rented the shortsleeved wet suit tops, but water wasn’t as cold as they described. Didn’t get cold on any of the other snorkeling days and I don’t think we needed them for Molokini. The buoyancy was great and could have skipped the noodles.
Hi, my partner is very short-sighted (approx. -7.2...?) would you have an optical dive mask for her? As she is not at all keen to go if she can't see much :-(
