We chartered with Portorosa Marina Yachting in Portorosa, Sicily, back in September, and even months later, we’re still thinking about what an amazing experience it was. From start to finish, the owners and staff went above and beyond to make our trip seamless and enjoyable. While the more experienced sailors handled the paperwork, we were treated to wine and small plates in their charming café and shop. Such a delightful touch!
The shop itself was a gem, offering fresh pastries, espresso, a well-stocked wine selection, and lovely gifts. As for the boat, it was absolutely amazing. Comfortable, well-equipped, and impeccably maintained. The air conditioning, showers, beds, outdoor seating, and kitchen made for a truly enjoyable sailing experience. Any small issues we noticed were either fixed immediately or promptly addressed upon our return.
Our final night was unforgettable. We dined at their restaurant, Zammù, and had the best meal of our entire trip. Even after visiting some fantastic spots in the Aeolian Islands. The food and wine were outstanding, and the owners, a wonderfully entertaining husband-and-wife duo, treated us to their house drink and a surprisingly delicious edible cactus.
Portorosa Marina Yachting is trustworthy, offers great value, and delivers exceptional service. With their café, marketplace, and Zammù restaurant all conveniently located, along with easy parking, everything was smooth from start to finish. We highly recommend them for a top-notch sailing experience!

OLD AND POORLY MAINTAINED STRUCTURE OF THE HARBOR, INVADED BY SWALLOWS THAT NEST IN THE DOCKS AND SPRINKLE BOATS EVERY NIGHT, WITH SERIOUS HAZARDS TO HEALTH AS WELL AS HYGIENE. EXPENSIVE ALSO COMPARED TO NEIGHBORING PORTS. INADEQUATE AND INEFFICIENT MANAGEMENT, NO COLLABORATION FROM THE RESPONSANILI OF THE PORT THAT HAVE AN ARROGANT ATTITUDE AND COMPLETE CLOSURE TO EVERY REQUEST. THE PORT RATHER THAN ACCOMMODATE YACHTS, ACCOMMODATES FOR ALMOST ALL THE RENTAL BOATS OF AT LEAST TEN DIFFERENT COMPANIES.

The stay at the Baia dei Delfini residence was excellent. A special thanks to Mrs. Giovanna who has done everything making us feel at home.

Excellent pre trip communication. Accommodated an early boarding. Best boat briefing we have ever had. Staff was phenomenal. Boat in PERFECT condition. Everything worked. Nice to have free grab and go snorkels, fins and noodles. Provisioning at Marina decent. Showers far away. Marina restaurants are outdoor dining so they get hot in the summer. Incredible experience. Felt like an old school family run business. Max and Sharon went above and beyond.

A pleasant evening, we took a walk in the Resort, dinner and after dinner. Very nice location, both at sunset and in the dark. Services and essential shops within the Resort. The marina an added value.

Sailed with Sail italia/ Moorings out of Portorosa, Sicily.
We are experienced sailors , and rented a Beneteau 40.
We had originally reserved a Beneteau 42, but they changed it out to the 40, no price reduction.
We were told take it or leave it.
The boat was in good condition, and all major systems performed satisfactorily.
But we had a number of other issues.
The dinghy leaked air such that we had to blow it up every day.
We reported this, but they just said bring it back to the base, impractical.
There was no lock and cable, so we couldn’t lock the dinghy at the dock.
Also, the oarlock pins were not provided, so dinghy could not be rowed.
There were no wine glasses on the boat , and no medium to large glasses for beer or soft. drinks.
They provided a few glass wine glasses when this was pointed out.
The brochure says that ice would be provided the first day.
None was provided until we complained, then only a small amount.
The trip briefing was short and superficial, mostly focussed on describing what they didnt want you to do.
Little valuable info about good harbours, marinas, or restaurants.
Even though we rented the boat from saturday to saturday, you are required to be back by 5 pm Friday, so you only really get 5 days sailing.
The support to leave the dock, then return to the dock by the dock staff was good.
The boat equipment had a few deficiencies, in our view.
There is no vhf radio at the helm station.
For safety, all charter boats should do this.
The chartplotter is a very simple one, poor user interface,
Sail italia also wanted the fridge to be switched off each night unless plugged in to shore power. This is due to under provisioning the battery system, not acceptable when out for a week sail with groceries on board.
No Ais system was provisioned , a very useful safety feature.
The sailing base is very basic, limited washrooms, no pool , no bar , etc.
Overall, would recommend other charter companies instead of sail italia.

If you want to relax and eat divinely, I recommend you spend your holidays here.
The sea is wonderful; the people, as usually happens here in the south, are full of life and attention.
For kids there is the possibility to have fun without danger.

The idea to combine a marina with a residential area is a good one. The way this marina is shaped is very nice. However, a lot of the buildings like the huge hotel ( out of order) and many more buildings are in very bad condition. It looks that nobody really cares at all! The huge Swimmingpool completely wrotten. We rented a yaught from Spartivento, which went well, facilities ok and functional, but again the building where it is located is really shabby. The nearby beach is wonderful and one could really have a vision how lovely this place could be, if….

sono rimasto veramente deluso...posto stupendo ma gestione dei servizi portuali inefficiente e costosissima...La responsabile dell'ufficio del marina ad una nostra richiesta e' stata arrogante e assolutamente non disponibile ad ascoltare le nostre richieste.Peccato perche' il marina merita per la sua posizione e per la sua bellezza.

The place is beautiful as a location however marina is not the ideal in terms of berths. Moreover the place is bare of people with shops and restaurants either closed or completely bare of people. Nothing to do here

oui dans le complexe il y a deux épiceries, un restaurant, ...
concernant les éoliennes, je ne pourrai pas vous répondre mais depuis Milazzo il y a les bateaux rapides.
Bon voyage la région est très belle et les éoliennes sont magnifiques.
