Would anyone please let me know what the area where the hotel is situated is like?
Is it a pretty area?
Are there any live music bars in the old town?
Many thanks for your request , The hotel is situated on a high position with only 1 km distance from the city center and the beach .
At the moment it is low season only a few bares are open and only a few with live music only in the new town ( the strip ( 3.5km way from the hotel you have live music and a lot of bares
Kind regards
paulo
The Hotel is situated in a quiet not unpleasant area more residential than anything else . The old town is situated around 15 mins walk away. There are many lively bars there. Cerro means hill and you need to be reasonably fit to walk back. We would normally walk down but get a taxi back for 5 euros from the rank on the edge of the old town and not the one in the middle as that rank has to go round the one way system and is more expensive.
The hotel is in a nice upmarket residential area and it’s very quiet. It’s positioned on a hill top with nice views, but this means it’s about 15 min walk downhill to the old town square, and a climb back. We’re in our 60s and quite fit and walk both ways twice a day, but it will be a problem if you are immobile in any way. Taxis are available and are relatively cheap. There are bars and a few restaurants on the way for a pit stop. It’s a lovely place to stay with easy access to the old town. The square is lively with live music somewhere most nights. Hope this helps.
