We are traveling from Tokyo and plan to stay for one night in Hakone. We will have luggage with us and will not be able to check in to our hotel until 3pm. I noticed that there are lockers. Are they big enough for rolling luggage? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I don't remember lockers but the ladies at the desk were very helpful and I'm sure they'd watch your bags for you.

definitely leave luggage at hotel first. the whole village is on a hill so walking with the luggage is not fun at all. and there is a cable train thing at the main train station that stops near most hotels. it gets very crowded and can be difficult to get in with lugage at times. almost everything is a walking distance from the cable trolley and plan your for you dinner early because there is nothing open at night, i did not even see a 7-11 in the area. have fun it's a beautiful place.

If you hotel is near the museum I suggest you put the luggage in the hotel's locker and then go to the museum. Most hotels will hold luggage until check in.

I cannot be sure. Given this is Japan, I am sure they will be able to accommodate you.

Hi, just fyi if you dont know abt this. Hakone yumoto station has a service to send your suitcases to your hotel. So you can stroll around with baggage free while visiting museums or other places in Hakone.

Hakone open air museum has coin lockers. I remember I got my coin back as I took my things out from the locker.

But I don't think it's wide enough for your luggage. When i tried to put my stroller to the lockers, it did not fit it. But i put it on top of the lockers. :)

Sorry I didn't notice the lockers, but we were asked to check in bags if we wanted to visit the picasso exhibition (in a building on site) so I think they'd be willing to store the luggage for you. There was plenty of space.

Have a nice time, its a lovely place.

Hi, I don't know how big the lockers are. I"m sory, I cant answer this question. I think we dropped our luggage off at the hotel and then went to see the museum and check in after the museum. It's wonderful, enjoy

Sorry I do not know this. But I think they will arrange something. The museum is quite huge.

You could fit two backpacks into the lockers, but I don't think a large rolling suitcase would work. It's possible that the ticket office would let you store your items in their office, but I can't say for sure.
