Is this museum within walking distance from the little prince museum or the Venetian glass museum?
Thank you
Rubbish to those who say you have to take a taxi! You do not need to it as the sculpture park is very close to both a bus and train stop. We managed it very easily by public transport. Head for Chokuko-no-mae (or Chokuko-no-mae station which are only 100 yards apart). We went by bus and then caught a train back to Hakone Yumoto station as we were going on to Nagoya. You can even leave luggage in lockers at the station.
It is not.. you need to take a taxi
I would not recommend walking. It would be best to use the very efficient bus or train system. At your hotel, they will be able to tell you which bus to take. the roads are very narrow in some parts, even the buses have to yield to on coming buses, no sidewalks. The distance may seem short, but the mountain roads are very steep.
Hi, its depend what you are calling "walking"? It is about 1.5-2 hours walking, my recommendation is to use public transportation and the best is train.

There is a bus stop less than 50m from the Hakone Open Air museum entrance, take the M line but do note the bus schedule (they arrive exactly on time, and leave promptly too). You can also take the Hakone Tozan train and stop at station OH56, walk 150m to the museum.
Sorry I did not visit them but there is a great network of buses in Hakone which make getting around very easy
Oh I believe taxi should be expensive. Thought I can walk somewhere nearby while waiting to go back to gotemba station. Thank you.
