Experience rural Japan away from the tourist hotspots, and learn all about Kobe beef (Wagyu beef/Matsusakaushi), tea production and lots more. This is a wonderful place to stop for a couple of nights. At this point in time, you are guaranteed to have no other western tourists around you. The manager, Hitoshi Yamamoto, speaks no English, but is a wonderful host - warm, welcoming, friendly, obliging.........what else can one say? He can organise to pick you up at Matsusaka railway station, will provide a Japanese BBQ for your evening meal ( if desired), and will even arrange a visit to a farm to see Kobe beef on the hoof. A unique experience!
