This is a small family-owned inn near Itadori Onsen (5 minutes walk). The house is woody and very comfortable. What is remarkable here is the dinner. They prepare seasonal local materials such as mushrooms, mountain vegetables, fish, hogs, etc. No standard sashimi nor tempura are provided here. But their creation of food is simply remarkable. It can be one of the vest experience in japan.
This family run modest minshuku can be proud of its offerings. The house is newly build. The rooms are spacious. Large windows let in sunshine and light, but traditional screens give a private atmosphere when wanted. The sitting room and dinning room are very nice. Old wood from the former mansion was used for tables. The chairs are also custom made. The food was very nice. The whole family working together to get the magic done. And a special bonus : 10 minutes walking is a great onsen place !
I regularly visit this family owned inn. The foods provided here are mostly from the locality. Wild vegetables in spring, fresh water fish, chest nuts and mushrooms in autumn and the meat of wild pig in winter. Presentation of foods is also remarkably beautiful, especially for this price range of accommodations. Public hot spa is only 10 minutes walk from the inn.
