We stayed 2 nights. Lovely view and good restaurant with super service. However, housekeeping is non-existent. After a full day tour, I returned to unmade beds and a messy bathroom. The only thing that housekeeping did was top up my water in the fridge. I had to go to reception for clean towels. I told them about the unmade room and they were very apologetic. When we went for dinner, the waitress must have been told by the reception about our room. The waitress apologized and said our room would be cleaned while we had dinner. Went back to the room after dinner to find the room unmade and messy. Nothing had been done.
I ended up making my own bed and cleaning my own bathroom.
At check out, I mentioned the unmade room and again, lots of apologies.
Stay here for good food and the experience of cleaning your own bathroom and making your own bed.

We like our stay in this hoshino Kai hote. The price is reasonable and includes half board. The breakfast and dinner are both good but not that delicious. The hotel is brand new and very near all kinds of Hells nearby. The onsen has indoor and outdoor we really enoy our stay.

Kai Ureshino is located right in front of the Nagasaki bus station. The hotel building itself is not particularly attractive. In fact one can easily missed the hotel.
It is a modern design hotel, with the lobby lounge with floor to ceiling windows facing the hot spring. The staff nicely introduced the hotel info in our room. All the hotel rooms are facing the hot spring. It is a nicely proportioned room arrangement. This is the second time we stay at a Kai onsen hotel. The shower room is very nice, with a separate toilet.
The dinner and breakfast is served in the same restaurant. All dining rooms are partitioned to preserve privacy, though you still can hear people talking loudly. The food was sumptuous and fresh.
The hotel offers some activities inside the hotel for guests. We picked a lesson and trial of letterpress printing, it was fun and got an experience of traditional printing on a postcard.
The onsen is a minute walk from the lobby and has no roof. We need to bring an umbrella to walk because it was raining. If a roof is built it would made the walk easier. The good thing about Kai is that the check out time is 12:00 noon so that you have more time to enjoy the hotel.

列島に寒波来襲の時期でしたが
大浴場が建物の外に有り行くだけでも辛く
浴場内は湯気がたっていても 冷たい風が流れていて 湯船から出た瞬間から身体が冷えて
床の石もヒンヤリ冷たくて
温泉で身体の芯から冷えたのは初めての体験でした
浴場内よりも湯上がり場所の方が
暖かく感じました
雲仙温泉の名物の温泉が楽しめない宿って？
露天風呂も楽しみにしてましたが
とても無理でした。
普段なら朝風呂も味わうのですが

Excellent service team with an amazing attention to detail, matching the excellent Kai tradition that we have come to expect. Great room views with an excellent onsen experience. Outdoor onsen was stunning and not to be missed. Staff was also very helpful
