It was a lovely spacious and clean Japanese-style room with nice mountain views. The location in the village of Nishi-iya is convenient if you are travelling without a car, right by the bus stop. The cafe is not operating, but there is coffee for breakfast and a home-cooked dinner can be ordered in advance, otherwise self-catering. There are few budget options in the area, so we thought that Yoki was good value. Not the guesthouse as much as the general Iya Valley location - as buses are infrequent it's not easy to get around, but taxi services are available.
This little guest house is ideally situated by the river Iya and great for exploring the area.. 2 points of note, the bus service is reliable but infrequent, check in at the hostel is not until 4pm and there's not masses in town if you arrive on bus. We were offered home cooked foods in the evening, and when we ventured out and found all the restaurants were closed we were offered some eggs and veg to cook ourselves something! There is very little by way of food shops in the immediate vicinity so be prepared (unlike us) and be sure to bring foods. Room was spacious, clean and bright. Service was outstanding and very friendly, if you're exploring Iya this is the place to base yourself.
Endroit incroyable . Les 3 hotes sont au petits soins en constante bravo et un grand merci pour tout . :) De plus un repas est servi si vous le voulez le soir pour 800 ou 1000 yens et bien sur tout se qui va avec .
