Our hostess, Susan, arranged our 3.5 hours car ride from Nairobi to Maji Moto Maasai Cultural Camp.
Once we arrived at the campsite, we were welcomed with traditional dance and supa greetings. I felt an instant connection to the warriors and the camp grounds. The...
The experience is simply amazing! The camp is clean with nice food, and you have water from the hot spring for shower. We stayed 1 day here, got to visit the village, the plantation field, and the widow' s village. We were welcomed by the...
I have mixed emotions/feelings about Maji Moto. It offered a very unique experience (manyatta accommodation and hot springs, evening bonfires) in the wild. I enjoyed the peace and quiet of the camp and the treks/walks with Koila, Meeri and Fosti. They were most welcoming and...
We stayed at Maji Moto from December 27th thru January 2nd of 2016/17. My wife and I can't say enough incredible things about this stay. It started with Salaton and his best friend Chris picking us up themselves in Nairobi and driving us back to...
Great experience and gives a great feel to be close to the people. All very clean and sleeping in the local huts is amazing. The shower with water from a hot water well is also special. Food is good and all the walks is really...
I've just booked a 3 night stay at Maji Moto and was wondering if one should take Malaria tablets? We're travelling from Nairobi by car and after our stay, on to Tanzania.
Thanks for the info...Lisa

Happy to hear you will be visiting Maji Moto soon. For Malaria medicine, it's best to contact your doctor to be sure you have all immunizations that you need, which they will look up online and make sure you are fully covered for all of the areas you will visit. But we usually recommend that people do use the malaria medicine, since you'll be traveling to different areas where it's hard to know exactly where risk areas begin and end. Best to be safe.
For your 3 night stay, please contact us as I don't see your name on our books, and other camps have used the same name as ours, without being the same cultural camp as ours, so you want to be sure you're coming to the right place (majimotomaasaiculturalcamp web address). It may be that your reservation is showing under a different name, so please contact us and we'll be ready to welcome you. Ashe oleng (many thanks in Maasai language)
Merci d'avance.
