Can't fault the hotel, stunning, attention to detail, rooms are amazing, and in the evenings the lovely people come to your room and turn back your bed and leave slippers on a white cotton rug... the staff are so attentive, polite and nothing is any trouble... one massive fault with the hotel is the extortionate price not ONLY for the food . Example paid 2 soft drinks at the hotel 54 mr (£9.64) floating restaurant price-4mr (0.71 pence) we hired a car for one week just to eat out, as our money is running out fast... we appreciate the luxury of the hotel, but we work full time and cost £1700 each to get here and cannot afford to pay another £1700 for food and wine... 😡 Room 214 Miss Julie & Miss Sonia two upset ladies at the ridiculously priced Hotel

The Datai is not cheap and F&B not cheap but as others have said always top quality and service without exception. There are ways to economize on F& B-- eat a large breakfast, it is terriffic and then skip lunch or dinner, dont eat both, late lunch or early dinner. Share mains and order 2 starters, etc. we walaked over to the Andamen which is cheaper but palpably not as nice, so that is what you are paying for. Its a special place but one must research and understand the costs in advance!
We will be visiting you at beginning of May for 14 nights.
Can you please advise if yoga or pilates classes are available and if so are they complimentary or chargeable.
Both are available - yoga on daily basis and pilates twice a week - both are complimentary even if you can also book private classes which do cost separately
