The INN is housed in a building built in the Meiji period, and the tasteful exterior/interior design is true to its reputation, making us feel as if we had traveled back in time. The room we stayed in was a two roomed room, a bedroom and a living room, and was fully air-conditioned to keep us warm even in the winter. The bath was a modern bath, not a hot spring, but it was relaxing and warm. The food was prepared with home-grown vegetables and seasoned gently, and we enjoyed it together. In particular, the Oden for dinner was the best, with daikon-radish that had been left to soak in for two nights, and it went very well with sake. Breakfast was also excellent, with plenty of vegetables and fresh eggs over rice, mixed with natto. The owner is a retired local researcher and has a lot to offer, so I learned a lot from him. It was a great place to stay for just one night!
