Quick response by owner with instructions on how to reach Koyasan
House is old, located just off main street. There is a nearby convenience store and restaurant.
Strong smell of cigarettes in the entrance and the rest of the building smelled very musty lacking any ventilation.
There are a few traditional rooms upstairs with futon mattress to sleep on. There is a toilet.
Downstairs there is a washing sink and a bathroom that is shared between the guests and owner's family. It is run down, grotty and smells of mould.
Whilst this is listed as a guest house, it's really just a basic place to sleep without any frills. There is no common area, nowhere to heat up food or make a cup of tea.
Best suited to backpackers on a budget.
