We were 3 henros who needed a place to stay and, luckily found room at this fantastic collection of guest homes plus a main Inn, run by Philippe and Yu. We stayed in the Nishiki-Tei, which is a historic, beautifully kept annex home, about a 5 minute walk from the main inn. There were plenty of tatamishoji screened rooms for each of us to have their own, plus a beautifully lit room with nice chairs and a coffee table, where we gathered for meals and to plan our routes. Philippe and Yu helped us plan, make reservations, understand customs and processes that we were not yet adept at and point us to places where we might find vegan food. Because the house we stayed in had its own kitchen, we loaded up at the recommended market and cooked lovely evening meals together. We were lucky enough to have two nights at this Inn, which gave us a well needed rest from the walking pace we had been keeping. This Guest House was one of our favorites for many reasons, some of which were its historic beauty and charm, cleanliness, nice soaking tub, location in a great town, closeness to Temple 23 and train station and its incredibly kind, knowing and multilingual owners who had a lasting impact on the success of many of our future route and other decisions.

Ever wanted to stay in an ancient japanese house? This is a hostel in a historic house 500 m from Temple 23. Very well preserved, managed by a french-japanese family, who have well maintained the historic character of the house. It is rather spacious. There is a nice restaurant nearby on the other side of the bridge.

As part of our walk on Shikoku 88 we stayed here two nights. It was a great experience. The house is a beautifully restored traditional old wooden house. And the owners are excellent hosts. Giving valuable information and advice and showing such unique kindness.

築100年以上の古民家を改修した、ゆったりと落ち着くインテリア。アンティークの調度品や壁紙など、古いだけではないセンスの良さが素晴らしい。
中庭で朝食を食べましたが、庭も緑がいっぱいで素敵でした。
またコーヒーやお茶、食パンとバター＆はちみつは無料でした。
コンセントが差しにくいことと、鍵が外からかからないことがちょっと気になるかな（女一人で、男性客が他にいたので）。
そのほかはとても居心地よく過ごせました。
周囲は古い街並みの残る情緒ある界隈で、迷路のような路地に猫がいたり、漁船があったり、少し歩けば海岸にも行けます。
中庭で朝食を食べましたが、庭も緑がいっぱいで素敵でした。
またコーヒーやお茶、食パンとバター＆はちみつは無料でした。

Nous avons d'abord apprécié les propriétaires de cette maison: chaleureux, aidants, partageant avec plaisir leurs bons plans et coutumes japonaises.
La maison est magnifique, des chambres décorées avec goût s'ajoutent aux pièces communes pratiques et bien équipées. Et puis la literie est très confortable, donc pour se reposer apres une journee de visite...
Nous étions 2 Henros, marchant sur le chemin du pèlerinage de Shikoku, la maison est centrale, proche de bars et restaurants sympas.
Nous la recommandons vivement à tous les voyageurs.
