Good location in the village of Honmura for access to the art house project and Benesse art museums. I stayed in the wing called Yadogari, which was a self-contained house with three generous sized tatami mat rooms. My party of three took two rooms and had the house to ourselves one night, and another person took the third room one night. Acceptable for those familiar with Japanese custom and etiquette. Good value for budget conscious travellers. The host was very nice and the dinner and breakfast was generous, perhaps too much for some. Dinner was Japanese style with a good range of tasty dishes. For breakfast there was a choice of Japanese or "western ". Overall good value.
