Dear Kashima-Yoshihito, Greetings from Rocky's Boutique Resort!. Thank you for staying in our resort and for sharing your comments to all travelers and trip advisor readers. Every comment is important and we really appreciated your kind review. I'm glad you liked our hotel from our rooms, garden and of course the service provided during your stay with us. Let me just clarify something to explain our side :). Rocky's Boutique resort is less than 10 minutes to Lamai town where you can do shopping, swimming and eat. We also provide 3 times shuttle to Lamai and twice return and one time shuttle to Chaweng (the big shopping area and the busy center). Taxi is only 200 baht to and from Lamai not 300 baht. We always remind our guests not to pay more unless its late. You did mentioned that there's nothing around Rocky's, Actually there are some :) There's 3 tourist spot nearby, the rock formation, the red temple and chinese temple. They're all walking distance from Rocky's. Lots of restaurants around Rocky's. 5-10 minutes walk... Even convenience store, shops, atm's, pharmacy and other shops... About the beach, we never denied that we have beautiful corals so its Rocky...One of the reason that's why we provide free use of kayaks, snorkeling equipment and beach shoes. For you to explore the beach and shoes for your safety from different corals or even sea urchins. And since we have corals around, you can do snorkeling in our beach :) And I'm proud to say that we have a very secluded beach so you can really relax and enjoy your holiday. Our location is close enough to shop and eat outside but far enough to have a peaceful and relaxing holiday :) Thank you once again for sharing your great experience and It's our pleasure to serve you and make your holiday extra special. For taxi, we help you arrange it but for tuk tuk you have to wait at the main road.
There are convenience stores, restaurants, bars, atm's and exchange booth within walking distance from our resort.

Fisherman shuttle service is every Friday for a small fee, 250 baht per person per way but we need a minimum of 4 people for this trip.
Leave the hotel at 18:00 and return at 21:00 from fisherman's village.
We can arrange a private taxi as well if you like for a cost.

The construction is not on site but next land to Rocky's. There are some noise and the affected area is the reception/lobby zone.
