I can’t thank the staff enough for the kindness they showed me on my 13 night stay at this very cost ryokan. On one occasion there were several schoolchildren staying for one night and the lovely gentleman at the front desk insisted on making multiple trips to my room to deliver the delicious Japanese breakfast. The jug flask provided in the room was so good that the water was still hot enough to make a pot of green tea even when I’d stayed away for a night and the best part of 2 days. As with everywhere I’ve visited in Japan it was spotlessly clean. As expected, my room was very small, but excellent value for money and once I’d unpacked and settled in it was all the more cost as a result. The surrounding area is so lovely too and so safe. My Japanese friends told me that it was perfectly safe to wander around the area even at midnight. I had mostly early nights and mornings due to arrangements with friends but did manage to wander the streets a few times and the atmosphere was so wonderful. The layout of the streets made it so easy to find my way back too, so I didn’t actually need the map provided by the hotel at all. It took about 5 minutes to walk to the subway and a couple of minutes more to 2 other stations. I believe there were maybe 2 more besides. I would definitely use this ryokan if I were to stay in Tokyo again and would highly recommend.
Un quartiere storico di Tokyo, vicinissimo al Tempio Sensoi ji. Il Ryokan è gestito da personale gentilissimo e spiritoso. Avete a disposizione una grande vasca nel bagno privato per rilassarvi nell'acqua calda (prenotatevi alla reception). La stanza 301 è grande e confortevole. La colazione si paga a parte se volete e dovete prenotarla. Il bagno è piccolissimo ma pulito e con tutto ciò che serve. Se tornerò a Tokyo sarà bello stare ancora qui.

This had to be the best place I've stayed in some time. Staff our very friendly, warm and kind. Got to the hotel too early to check in but they stored my luggage for me anyway and put into my room ready for me before I got back. The lounge is used as a café mid day. And I highly recommend you to try what is on offer. The food is fantastic Beyond belief. I have never felt upset to leave a place as much as this. I highly recommend it. Easy access to both temple and trains/metro. Wish I'd stayed longer

Ryokan Kamogawa is a quiet oasis in bustling Asakusa. The staff was friendly and helpful, the Japanese breakfast delicious and filling, and the small private onsen was soooo relaxing at the end of a busy day. Highly recommended if you are interested in a simple, clean, mostly traditional (eg futons/tatami mats) inn in a great location. I stayed here with my two children after my husband had to return to the States for work.Tip: You can take the subway all the way to Haneda Airport without transferring! Takes about 45 minutes, stress-free.

The breakfasts are made to order individually I think 6.30 maybe too early but you could ask.Tokyo has plenty of bakeries where you could get something the day before there is a fridge and kettle in the room so you could make your own breakfast.
Its probably 10 minutes walk go the train and then30 minutes to the airport.
The problem is finding the train platform .We spent the best part of an hour working in out the day before we left.
