Yes, this is a lovely old Inn and yes it is in a most desirable location, but there were some amenities that we felt were missing from a hotel at this price point.
There was no hair dryer in the room.. When I inquired at...続きを読む
This hotel is a wonderful old heritage building. We were on the 3rd floor and got to do a lot of stairs as there is no elevator, but for us, the old-world charm of the building offset this. It was quite warm on the top...続きを読む
just a couple blocks from the inner harbour, and a block from beacon hill park. the location is excellent. Nice quiet rooms had excellent housekeeping, an excellent pub downstairs, in a very interesting old building. I would stay here again.
For the price I wasn't expecting much but the moment we arrived we were treated with such professional service and kindness.
This hotel is dated but SO clean and charming & full of character. They offer complementary coffee & tea in the morning and the...続きを読む

Yes, they have hair dryers. I don't recall a microwave.

No air conditioning. Rooms have fans and the windows open. Victoria seldom gets hot enough for air conditioning. It's hardly ever humid. As the temperature goes up, the humidity goes down. Temperature drops rapidly at sunset. It's a very comfortable climate. It rarely goes above 30C/90F and there is usually a breeze off the ocean that moderates. I never missed air conditioning at the James Bay Inn or when I lived in the city for 10 years.
