I LOVED Babu’s Camp! I was the only guest in this small camp and it was fantastic. The location, right in Mkomazi Park, has a glorious view of the park and the surrounding mountains. It is honestly how I imagine Eden being. Frank and Nathan were the staff operating the camp during my stay. They kept my room clean, were very friendly to talk to, answered any questions I had, and I forget which one cooked, but the food was excellent. I didn’t drink there but a fully stocked bar is in the dining/gathering tent. This tent was very well appointed. I only wish 8 had booked more days at Babu’s Camp and I would love to return someday. Also, while this review is not of Mkomazi Park, I think it’s worth mentioning that it is very beautiful and has unique species and sightings.
We stayed at Babu's Camp for only one night and wish it had been a longer stay. The setting for this tented lodge is beautiful, the accomodations and food are very nice, the staff are really friendly and helpful, and the experience is remote and serene. Having coffee on the deck of the dining area and watching dawn come to the valley in front of you, with elephants, giraffes, ostrich, cape buffalo all in view, was really memorable. The tents were very well constructed and spacious, we loved listening to a hard rain in the middle of the night from our tent, others in our group heard distant lions. If you are looking for a Tanzanian experience away from the crowds of the Serengeti, Babu's Camp in Mkomazi NP is perfect.
We stayed here for one night during our two week safari and my biggest regret is not staying longer. We loved everything about Babus, it was absolutely our favorite place we stayed. Everything from the food to the service was incredible but it was truly the views that made it unforgettable.
Magnifique lodge au milieu du parc Mkomazi. Les tentes et les lits sont vraiment très confortables, la vue du camp est à couper le souffle et le manager et son staff sont vraiment au petit soin. La nourriture était très bonne et très copieuse, tout était parfait nous y reviendrons avec un immense plaisir.
Erg leuk verblijf voor tijdens een Safari. Het verblijf bestaat uit 3 tenten en een dinertent / lounge tent. De tenten zijn voorzien van alle gemakken en het uitzicht is fenomenaal. Geen WiFi Het personeel is zeer vriendelijk en het eten is top. Geen airco
