We had 5 lovely days/nights at LaBanasterie. The rooms are 'different' so if you are looking for a traditional 'boring' room, look elsewhere. We found our room very comfortable - actually had two rooms. True, no elevator, we were only one level up so not...続きを読む
As we have done for a number of years, we relied on a well-regarded and established travel author. I could not have been more disappointed in both the author and the property. La Banasterie is referred to in he following manner "...this oh so pretty...続きを読む
Our family of 4 enjoyed 2 nights in this pleasant, quaint B&B. Very good for families (space wise) but recognize you are not getting all the amenities (e.g. elevator, a/c in each room) of a modern hotel. Right around the corner from the Palace of...続きを読む
İf, like us, you dont like to stay at modern hotels without any soul, this is a perfect little hotel with 8 rooms in the heart of old Avignon. literally few steps away from Palais de Papes... Building is from eighteen hundreds, decorated accordingly. Different...続きを読む
This is an excellent hotel really close to the Popes' Palace but set in a very quiet location. Although our room might be considered a little quirky, we thoroughly enjoyed our 4-night stay and Michael is an ideal host. Breakfasts are delicious. We would recommend...続きを読む

direction : Leave the highway A7 to the extit "Avignon nord" then follow the signs "avignon centre" drive along ramparts (the Rhone (river) on your right) enter in the city by the door "Porte de la ligne" (follow the yellow sign la mirande) and turn immediately on your right "rue des remparts de la
ligne" when this street turn on the left you are "rue de la
Banasterie", we are to N°11.
Attention Avignon is a medieval city the streets are very narrow it's difficult to drive and to park into.
if you have not too much luggage my advice is:
when you are along the wall go to the next door "la porte du rocher" ( just after la porte de la ligne) and park your car in the Popes palace parking (parkings palais des papes) then you'll go out in front of the popes palace. you look the popes palace and go to your right corner there is the small street "rue de la peyrolerie" go down it until the "rue de la Banasterie" (on your left) 2 or 3 minutes from the parking
