Yes, you can smoke on the roof top of the hotel where you will find our beautiful infinity pool and outdoor bar area. Smoking is permitted.
The AVANI Hotel features a Shopping Plaza on 3 floors directly in the hotel building. Beside that you will find a mini mart across the street (5 min walk)

I believe the swimming pool is open to 9:00PM. It is adjacent to the Sky Bar and restaurant. I would suggest using the gowns the hotel supplies as you may be walking through a lobby area near the Sky Bar, so modesty is required.
Yes, the king size beds are big enough. I was on a business trip and the room size was enough for one person. In my opinion it is too narrow for 3 people. Have fun and exciting moments in Bangkok.
