It is so hot!! Thankfully we had a fan in our ver small room. We had a single bed. We shared a sometimes flushable toilet with the family, we had a tsp and 3 buckets in hand shower cubicle to wash in. The family were lovely and made us feel very welcome . A good way to experience Tuvalu
All the accommodation options in Tuvalu are quite run down and fairly basic. As such, there's no real point in paying a lot of money to stay somewhere. Plus, most places are very difficult to contact as often don't reply to emails. Wamasiri lodge is very basic and with shared bathroom facilities, but the family who runs it is very friendly and it seems to be the only place where you can make an online booking (on booking.com). I paid $35 AUD per night which is normally for the most basic option downstairs, but was allocated one of the rooms upstairs. Quite hot at night but ok for a short stay. Internet didn't seem to be available for guests, but you can walk into town and use one of the hotspots there. Cost of internet is $10 AUD for 250mb. Guesthouse is located about 1km from the airport but there are a few shops and a restaurant in the immediate vicinity.…
Booking.comでよやくでき、シングルで１泊３５ドルでした。 ガスコンロあり、トースター、給湯器、炊飯器などがあり自炊できます。但し食材を探すのに苦労したので（お店はあっても調味料しかおいてなかったりする。南太平洋大学近辺のお店で肉や中華のインスタント麺を売ってるのを見ました。）、インスタント麺等は持参したほうがいいかも。 また宿の場所は道に面しておらずわかりづらいので、迎えは呼んだ方がいいかも（私の場合頼んでませんでしたが、空港で待っててくれました） Wifiは１日５ドルです。(宿の紹介文には無料と書かれていますが、決済画面に進むと有料と記載あり)3G回線ぐらいの速さで、動画さえ見なければ十分です。 居間に冷房があり、部屋は扇風機。清潔でした。あと何故か日本の週刊誌や小説が大量に置いてあるので、暇ならそれらを読めばいいと思います。
