１２月の日曜に宿泊。客は自分以外に1組だけで静かでした。素泊まり３３００円で格安。大浴場は洗い場が6つほどでゆったりつかれます。２階のトイレ外の部屋でしたが、８畳に縁側があり広かったです。ただバス停の真横で、バスの案内放送「00番別府駅行きです！」が少し気になります。

今まで入った温泉の中で1番効果を実感しました。まず浴槽が深く、水圧で内臓が圧迫され（心臓の弱い方は注意です）まるで加圧トレーニング（笑）。温度は、のぼせないくらいの39～40℃くらいだと思います。
お風呂上りにちょっと寒いかなと思いきや、ポカポカと体が温かいまま！それも汗が出る暑さでなく、ほんとにポカポカという表現がちょうどいい！
ご飯は、他の旅館に比べると少なく感じますが、多すぎて食べ残すことなく、ちょうどいいと思いました。
女将さんもほんわかしていて、親しみやすく、田舎のおばあちゃんと話している感じ。いろんな別府の歴史や観光地情報を教えてくれました。
お風呂上りにちょっと寒いかなと思いきや、ポカポカと体が温かいまま！それも汗が出る暑さでなく、ほんとにポカポカという表現がちょうどいい！
ご飯は、他の旅館に比べると少なく感じますが、多すぎて食べ残すことなく、ちょうどいいと思いました。

Nous avons été accueillis par Mutsuko la fille de la gérante, qui parle bien anglais et est très prévenante et nous a aidé merveilleusement à chaque étape de notre exploration de Beppu et ses alentours.
Les petits déjeuners, japonais et même ceux dans le style occidental (on a testé les deux), étaient simplement délicieux. Nous sommes restés quatre nuits et le menu variait à chaque fois : un régal pour le palais et les yeux.
Nous avions la plus grande chambre, très propre, avec une partie salon, avec une mini véranda.
Les bains du ryokan sont tous supers et bien entretenus, il y a même un familial.
Le ryokan est très bien situé, avec les arrêts de bus à proximité et de nombreux sites à visiter accessibles à pied.
On rêve d'y retourner !

La recensione l'aveva fatta a suo tempo ma solo ora mi sono accorto che non era stata pubblicata!
Che dire....splendido! Classico ryokan in stile giapponese con le camere con le pareti in carta di riso e futon in terra!
Accoglienza splendida da parte della famiglia che lo gestisce....anche se l'impatto con il capo famiglia é stato un po' difficoltoso a causa della sua non conoscenza di nessuna lingua se non del giapponese.
Bellissima la SPA all'interno e bella l'ubicazione in una zona tranquilla della zona termale di Beppu.
Se devo fare un appunto forse solo sulla colazione che non era abbondante, ma molto carina.
Splendida la ragazza che ci ha spedito anche gli auguri di buon anno!
Quindi se vi trovate da quelle parti non perdetelo!

I booked this middle sized Japanese inn (about 20 rooms?) direct well before. On our arrival, we were surprised to know we were the only guests at this inn for the night, and naturally became a bit concerned. However, everything went well and fine.
It seems a family run business. We were welcome by the owner. I firstly got impressed by their sincereness: they reserved a room on the top(=second or third, can't remember exactly) floor. I in fact requested a quiet room when booking, asking to avoid noise from the road, but remember we were the only guests, therefore serving only one room high up to prepare futon matress at night and to serve breakfast on this floor would not justify the work and cost. This inn has no passenger lift Just a small cargo one.
Our room was small but recently refurbished and impeccably clean. The view was an unexpected small gift. The road in front seemed not so busy although with parking lots and a bus station.
They prepared an in-house hot spring bath,the largest one. for just two of us.
Only fault we found was a synthetic futon matress cover to add warmness was apparently dirty. Everything else including all other bed linen was so perfectly clean and I still wonder the oddness. We removed it and slept.
For supper, we ate out and had good healthy local food (steamed by hot spring).
Breakfast at the inn was of good quality and we were satisfied.
This inn seems to serve group tourists. When there are some, the atmosphere may appear different.
I liked this accommodation, this particular area of Kannawa and Beppu. Marvelous hot spring. Willing to come back.
The location is convenient for sightseeing not only within Kannawa, but also for nearby Myoban and central Beppu, which are all linked by public bus services.
