Hello. I will be traveling to India alone to attend a friends wedding in Pune for Dec1. After the wedding I would love to visit the Taj Mahal, but am concerned about visiting alone. If I were to stay at your B&B, do you have advice and can you assist with me joining a group tour to the Taj Mahal where I can be safe? Please let me know. Thank you.
Me and my boyfriend have got 2 nights in new deli at the beginning of December, I was wondering if anyone knew how much it cost in a taxi from the airport to this B&B?
Also did anybody go visit the Taj Mahal and Himalayas whilst they were in India? Wondering the Best way to travel! Can you book trips once there?

Hi, Wahaba seems to have given you good advice. I think we paid about 1100 Rupees(£11 approx) for collection from the airport > You can get a pre paid taxi which is fine for about 400 Rupees, however as you don't know your bearings at this stage I would advice getting an airport collection, as the driver is unlikely to have good English and ours became quite upset when we got in his car. He also picked up another fare, going our way who was able to translate where we wanted dropping of - which eased the journey considerably, especially after we gave him a good tip.
We went to the Taj on a previous trip, we had a driver (organised for us by our host on that visit), picked our own accommodation, and where we wanted to go - we did the triangle - we would have loved to do the train, but was limited by a time factor. We visited the Fort and stayed overnight in a B + B not far from the Taj, so were able to walk there for the 6.30am opening time. Even then the queues were growing! After this we drove on to Jaipur. You don't really need long in Agra.
You can organise trips when you get there, but be very weary about it, some people are very plausible and are looking for commission for going with ' Government tourism', and a friend of mine set up a trip in Delhi for something in Goa, further into their Indian visit - It just never transpired, but their money was gone!!! I am sure that Pervez will be able to sort out anything you want to do, and give you advice - saving you money and heartbreak.
I have not be to the Himalayas YET, sorry can't help you there.
Hope you have a fantastic time - best wishes C X
