Booked the room after finding it via Expedia.com. The facility is under the process of redevelopment and renovation. There are new rooms under construction at this time. The people are absolutely wonderful here. There are a few quirks of a destination facility such as their...続きを読む
This resort is absolutely a must if your planning to go to the south guanacaste area. Me and my girlfriend rented a car from Playa Nosara and drove all the way south to Playa Santa Teresa. We got to Villas Playa Samara late around 10pm...続きを読む

This place was out of our itinerary and we got convinced by a family member who stayed at this resort a few months back. We followed his advice and made our reservation through Air Canada Vacations.

My husband and I are booked at your hotel for March 12/17 and I am packing!!
Just wanted to make sure that there are hair dryers in the rooms and if there is snorkeling available... I hate to take up packing spaces with my snorkeling equipment if it is not needed. Can't wait to get there!!!

we had a hair dryer in our room 2702 - but the outlet stopped working part way into out trip - I was able to move to the plug just on the outside of the bathroom and still see the mirror so that worked fine though a bit inconvenient. We also brought our own snorkel gear though never really used it - we brought our own floaties and just floated around on the water and used our flippers to move us about!
I'm wondering if it's better to visit Hotel Villas Playa Samara in Aug or September?

AUGUST is in the middle of the rainy season but there is a lull in the rain at the end of July & beginning of August. This is especially true of Guanacaste. The Caribbean side is solidly in the rainy season weather pattern with some rain nearly every afternoon and/or evening. August us a great time of year to visit Costa Rica if you have some flexibility in your travel schedule. August tends to be a quieter month and there are often deals to be found in the country if you don’t mind a little precipitation and are on a budget:
SEPTEMBER is a rainy month on the west coast and throughout the mountains of Costa Rica. The Pacific beaches and central valley regions get significant rain. This generally comes in a pattern of sunny mornings followed by showers in the afternoon or evening. The South Pacific and Osa Peninsula areas are inundated by days or even weeks of continuous rainfall driven by westerly winds. The Caribbean side of the country gets a break in September and October.
I noticed reading through the questions that the hotel offers a 1 day excursion to La Paz Waterfall Gardens, can you give a description of what the excursion includes.Thank you
