Dear Ute,
Thank you for your valued enquiry. We are delighted to hear that you have chosen to stay at POD Camps Bay.
Kindly note that the toilets most definitely have a door and are situated in a cubicle with frosted glass. The Mountain room categories and higher have an open plan shower, however, this is blocked off by a cupboard/wall and cannot be seen from the main area of the room.
Should you wish to receive a quote including our applicable specials, you are welcome to email us directly.
We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you to POD soon.
Best Regards.
Micaela Pritchard
POD - General Manager
Dear Kalifa282003,
Thank you for your enquiry. We understand your concerns regarding the current drought in the Western Cape.
Although we are encouraging guests to be conscious of their water usage, we can confirm that the operations of our hotel have not been affected.
Our pools, laundry and other basic services are being supplied by our own borehole water. We have also made arrangements for a water supply from a non-drought area to be transported to us, should our borehole water not be sufficient.
In addition, we have a UV water filtration system in place along with adequate bottled spring water stockpiled for drinking purposes.
Most restaurants have proactively implemented water savings and water augmentation solutions to ensure ongoing availability of water in their establishments.
You will still be able to enjoy primary tourism attractions such as our iconic Table Mountain, Cape Point, and Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, to name a few.
Cape Towns’ tourism sector contributes enormously to our economy and supports approximately 300 000 jobs. In peak seasons, international visitors only add 1% to the population of the Western Cape and if all visitors adhere to the suggested guidelines, the impact which our guests would place on the situation would be insignificant.
We can assure you that the drought will not adversely affect our guests' stay with us.
Warm regards,
Micaela and Meagan (POD Management)

Dear Mohammad H,
Warm greetings from POD Camps Bay and thank you for your valued enquiry.
Kindly note that January is classified as Cape Towns summer and is one of the most popular months for visitors. The temperature ranges between 16-26˚C / 61-79˚F.
We hope to see you soon!
