Update from Lorene: I wrote my review just before the earthquake hit. I feel so fortunate to have been at The Summit in the days that followed. It's one of the safest places to be in Kathmandu because it has well-built low structures that open directly onto large open spaces. The hotel went above and beyond the call of duty to take care of guests and others who sought refuge there after the earthquake. Hotel staff continued to cook meals for everyone and allowed people without rooms to sleep under their large event tent and lounge areas. I'm so grateful to them.

Hi, is there the possibility of an airport transfer?

Yes, the Summit hotel will pick you up and take you to the airport for a small fee. When I was met at the airport, the driver stood out in front with a sign with my name on it. I was worth the fee.
