Hi, my husband has a work conference in Clovis coming up and I am trying to maneuver scheduling a room for him - I'm weary of credit cards and therefore we do not have any. Am I able to load a prepaid credit card to cover the cost of the room for 2 nights? I understand hotels will usually place a "hold" for a certain amount on a credit card, which is fine- I can ensure the prepaid card has enough on it to account for this hold, I'm simply wondering if there is a certain amount, percentage, etc, that is required? Or, if this is ill advised, what type of monetary hold would you place on a debit card for such a reservation? - It is what it is, and I am understanding of that, I am simply hoping to get some idea of what I should put aside, monetarily? If the room is say, $118 per night, and he were (or, even if by the grace of God, we found childcare and I was able to travel with him) to stay for 2 nights, $118 x 2 = $236 , would $450 be enough to ensure a "hold" could be placed on the card?
I understand it is probably an annoyance to have to deal with perspective guests that don't utilize credit cards, I'd like to make it as painless as possible for all parties - simply want to know what I should do!

Hello. Generally we do not accept prepaid cards. However; you can utilize your banking debit card if you have one. We would place an authorization on it for the total anticipated cost for your room stay as well as an incidental hold fee for potential damages as we do for every guest. if that isn't an option, then we can accept cash. We would require the full anticipated stay to be paid in full as well as the room charge x 2 for incidentals since there would not be a credit card on file to secure payment. At checkout, granted there are no damages to the room, then you would receive your incidental deposit back. However; if there was damages, you would receive the remainder of your fee back minus the cost of necessary cleaning or repairs. I hope this helps. If you require additional information, please do not hesitate to reach out to me or my agm Adrain Gooden at the property. 559-299-2203
Thomas, did you stay on the weekend or during the week? Seems the weekends are getting horrible reviews. I'm questioning if we should stay there on a Saturday
