I and a friend stayed at Tucker Peak Lodge a couple weeks ago and found it to be very comfortable. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were cozy and were were offered coffee when we got up.What I loved was the fresh air and...続きを読む
We spent 2 nights at Tuckers Peak in a cute little cottage style room. It had complimentary keurig coffees, cider and tea as well as plenty of towels toiletries and ambiance! Our room came with a fireplace which we used extensively. The keeper of the...続きを読む
We made reservations for three rooms; going with friends. When we arrived, the lobby area & great room was extremely cold. We were informed that we could not check in until 4pm, which was not a problem. The gatekeeper informed us that the house cleaner...続きを読む
Spent one night at Tucker Peak to see the Geminid meteor shower. I chose it for its hilltop location and large open deck, and it delivered - amazing view! Jim upgraded us for no extra charge to the large downstairs room (Tranquility) which has a...続きを読む
I was a bit worried when I saw some of the other reviews but it is under new ownership and it was very accommodating and comfortable! We plan on going back again next year! We stayed in the large suite downstairs, I love the fireplace,...続きを読む
I really want to stay here but these reviews are truly concerning.
I must have a "good bed & bedding". It's gotta be a sanitary environment as I've a compromised pulmonary system after chemo.
Is there a more upgraded room unlike those that others have written so negatively about? We visit Julian often and have stayed at a couple b&b's. Even Jim sounds like a delightful man doing his best to run this inn. I don't think some people can appreciate what it takes to get her done sometimes, but I had a recent stay at another inn last month and was incredibly disappointed.
We were jarred awake by chainsaws and wood chippers at 8 a.m. after being up late and couldn't shower because it was covered in mildew.
I don't want to come for the dos de mayo stay and not be able to sleep again or shower in a clean stall.
Is there a good room avail this Saturday?
your review sounded just ' exactly ' the way my husband and I felt about Tucker Creek...sorry you had such a terrible experience - I had written my review back in Oct for this 'dump/hardly a lodge' actually it's was a privately own home - ' converted ' into a lodge...hence the jack and Jill room - one that my husband anai had booked for us and possible 2 teens girls [ 17 yrs. daughter and friend - thank goodness they beg NOT TO GO, so we left them in HB - they would have murder us , if they came here!!!! ]
I was FURIOUS - when Jim changed our reservation for a 2 bedroom suite and private bath - to 1 bedroom with 2 qz beds and a WALK DOWN THE STAIRS TO BATHROOM OFF OF POOL TABLE ! room - and yes there was laundry pile high on pool table then too !
husband and I thought to just drive back home - but I wasn't going to give them the satisfaction of our money without us using it -- so we STOMP DOWNSTAIRS EACH TIME FOR bathroom - since "owner " gave OUR room to a Washington family of 6 ! with younger kids...
sorry you didn't read my review - as to save your money from the experience we had....and we had booked for 2 nights there !!! which we made the most of - NOT STAYING AT the PLACE except to sleep and shower .
