Charming inn; one of the oldest in CT and worth walking through. Years ago the menu was better with the best onion soup and tender pork chops then the TV show with Gordon arrived and out they went. Still remaining on the menu but not...続きを読む
What a pleasant surprise! The menu had a great selection the food was delicious! We went with another couple for my husbands birthday. Our waitress was awesome! The service was good. I loved the atmosphere!
Our room was spacious, a suite in fact, and featured a four-poster bed and attractive period furniture. While a softer mattress and a new quilt would be improvements, we totally enjoyed our room and our stay. We had dinner in front of a lovely fire...続きを読む

Good Day Amy,
Thanks for the sentiments. We would love to host your stay any time you return to the states.
Curtis House Inn
Hello, my name is Chris Hardisty, manager here at the Curtis House. We do generaly lock the doors at 11pm. Only for the benefit of our guests. Our inn was built before 1736 so the hallways do creek when traveled upon. So we only try to limit the traffic later at night or at least try to make people conscious of the fact. We have a night person who is on duty all night and here to let guests in and out. Again only for the comfort and security for our guests.
We have one room in the main part of the inn with a fridge and a fridge in the lobby of our carriage house, which has 4 rooms. This area also has it's own entry which allows guests who arrive very late at night an option that limits disturbing of other guests. We are also happy to store things in our refrigerators for the guests.
We do not have blow dryers in the rooms but we do have them as well as irons available for the use of our guests.
I hope this helps to answer your questions. Feel free to call me if there is anything else I can assist you with.
