I just stayed at this hotel and there is no shuttle to Duval. They do have a shuttle to the airport (which is right next door). There is a tram tour that stops at the hotel but it would not be feasible to do the tour just to get to old town every day. We were paying on average $20-25 to get to Duval and Uber is not available yet in Key West.

Thank you, Bob B for your response. Albeit a pat response, please be advised, front desk was adamant that we did receive the Government discount, but could not produce any proof on the check out receipt or otherwise and insisted that we just had to trust it was so. If you want specific names I will gladly give them to you. I will not shame them on a public forum as they are not completely at fault for the glaring lack of training and customer service. I actually have worked in hospitality and know what to look for and what real and informed customer service should look like. Brushing this issue under the proverbial rug is not the amends I expected from a well known international brand. Had that been the only issue there may have been room to give the benefit of the doubt. Being that you obviously repeated some stale scripted responses to negative reviews squashes any confidence in a sincere effort to improve. Conflicting statements such as yours make your remarks disingenuous and less likely I would consider your establishment for future stays. Try again and let's have meaningful dialogue towards positive improvement in processes.
