We stayed at the Grizzly Lodge for 1 night and it was just lovely.
Bob the manager was just super friendly and really went above and beyond to be the perfect host. We felt really special and he genuinely cares about his guests.
The accommodations had two rooms which allowed us a little more privacy. The room was clean and comfortable, though not too fancy. It's location couldn't be beaten though. We were near to Lamar Valley where we saw the most variety of animals. They had nearby...続きを読む
We spent a night at the Grizzly Lodge during our Yellowstone vacation. We chose it because of its location. From here you can get into the park very quickly and spot wildlife early in the morning. Meeting the manager, Bob, and his dogs on arrival...続きを読む
First off, Bob is incredibly friendly and alone earns this place 5 stars. He has great stories to share if you choose to spend some time chatting with him. There are also some dogs he brought outside for my niece to play with. She loved...続きを読む
We stayed here to have easier access to the northeast part of Yellowstone, and this was very convenient. We were in room 17 which had a small kitchenette and coffee pot, basic supplies to make a simple meal. The room had been recently redone and...続きを読む
Are you open in winter? If so, is your area snow plowed? My goal is to get to the Lamar Valley each day. I will have snow tires, but nothing speciality.

This road (from Gardiner, MT) is the only road in the Yellowstone Park that is open year around, as this is the only way to get to Silver Gate - Cooke City communities in winter.
Looking for a place to unwind in late Spring 2015...My first cousin's are Mike Orms and Nancy Kirby Orms who have stayed there and they highly recommend it. I was led to believe that the area might be able to satisfy my need for trout fishing. could you send me anything on the Lodge.

Most of the fishing streams I have seen are on the Madison River area near West Yellowstone. There are a lot of 'no fishing' signs here and there in the park that come up and down. I do not know how the park service regulates things for spawning, etc. Soda Butte Creek runs by the lodge. It is outside the park boundaries but within the Gallatin National Forest. There are fly fishing equipment stores in Cooke City.
They might know where to try your luck.
