Had a ceasar salad, Petite filet cooked perfectly and chocolate (flourless) cake and split a creme brulee. Food, service and ambience was perfect! This restaurant deserves a Zagat (high level) review/rating and the notoriety that comes along with!!
Well thank you for responding to me after 6 weeks. You are very incorrect with your response. Yes, we did wait until the day of to cancel. However, everything else is false. My husband called you to give you an explanation as to why we needed to postpone our reservation. You told him he needed to contact Booking com. He did, they told him he needed to contact you. He replied that he did contact you. Booking com contacted you and you responded that your policy is "NO REFUNDS NO EXCEPTIONS!". Greg did call you back and you told him the same thing. However, we were not looking for a refund simply a credit for a later time. You would not do that either. again he was told "NO REFUNDS, NO EXCEPTIONS"!! So if that is not correct, please use this opportunity to let us and all your readers hear what your policy is so everyone knows. If your daughter is in the Pediatric ICU the day of proposed travel - what is your policy for traveling a later time? Lose your money - correct? Also, a friend of ours, Dave S., who has a house in Cape May stopped in two different occasions, and talked with two different managers. One (male - restaurant manager) and 2nd time Jan, Hotel Manager and again explained the situation. He was very upset as he was the one to recommend us to you. He spends a lot of time there and knows a lot of people in your town. He gave you all my contact information and you told him you would get back to me and make this right. - Still waiting.
Thank you for your concern on our daughter, by the way. She is doing great! I didn't get back with you right away because we just got back from a week in the Bahamas. We were scheduled to go there the first week in July and had to postpone our reservations due to this accident. ALL of our reservations were postponed WITHOUT any ridiculousness as it should be! American Airlines - full 100% credit for airlines tickets. Private condo directly on the beach - full 100% credit given for the postponed travel as well as the photographer we hired for her so she could have her senior pictures taken while there, 100% credit for when she felt up to being able to travel and enjoy herself! All as it should be - just postpone never asking any of you for a refund - just credit for future! All complied with extreme compassion...except HOTEL ALCOTT!
