Good evening, we are visiting in April for our first Safari, do we need binoculars, if so is there a make and strength you would recommend? Many thanks Richard & Jo

I didn't find them necessary. I enjoy animal viewing with my bare eyes and the animals are close enough for that. I use my zoom lens like a binocular at times since I don't want to haul binoculars around.
I am visiting Tanda Tula the first few days of May. Will the watering hole be dry or wet and are we likely to see a lot of wildlife around the watering hole that time of the year?

Thank you for your message. The watering hole in our camp is fill of water all year round. As May is generally within our 'dry' season, the watering hole is a popular drinking point for a wide selection of animals, including predators. Our guests often sit on our pool deck with a drink of their own, enjoying the passing game.
Have a look at our gallery on our website to get a better idea.
I hope that helps!

Hi there. Sorry for the delayed response to your question, it seemed not to have reached me! The drive from Joburg Airport is around 6 hours including 1 or 2 comfort breaks on the way down. I would recommend taking the route via Belfast, Dullstroom, Mashishing and Ohrigstad. Do not go via Nelspruit, it adds about 2 hours onto the journey time. I hope this information will help you.
