I have been coming to Tanda Tula for approximately 35 years since my childhood. There have been a lot of changes over the years, and the lodge is constantly striving to improve itself, which it has achieved very well. I have never had a bad...続きを読む
This was our third safari camp during our trip to Southern Africa, and was outstanding. We stayed in one of their dozen tents, which was nicer and larger than many 4 and 5 star hotel rooms we've stayed in over many years. This is the...続きを読む
We saw everything I have ever dreamed of in the first 24 hours, the BIG 5 and then some! Scotch and Patrick were absolutely WONDERFUL guides who catered to our every needs. They were fabulous in ferreting out the animals, and spending time in each...続きを読む

Good evening, we are visiting in April for our first Safari, do we need binoculars, if so is there a make and strength you would recommend? Many thanks Richard & Jo

I didn't find them necessary. I enjoy animal viewing with my bare eyes and the animals are close enough for that. I use my zoom lens like a binocular at times since I don't want to haul binoculars around.
I am visiting Tanda Tula the first few days of May. Will the watering hole be dry or wet and are we likely to see a lot of wildlife around the watering hole that time of the year?

Thank you for your message. The watering hole in our camp is fill of water all year round. As May is generally within our 'dry' season, the watering hole is a popular drinking point for a wide selection of animals, including predators. Our guests often sit on our pool deck with a drink of their own, enjoying the passing game.
Have a look at our gallery on our website to get a better idea.
I hope that helps!

Hi there. Sorry for the delayed response to your question, it seemed not to have reached me! The drive from Joburg Airport is around 6 hours including 1 or 2 comfort breaks on the way down. I would recommend taking the route via Belfast, Dullstroom, Mashishing and Ohrigstad. Do not go via Nelspruit, it adds about 2 hours onto the journey time. I hope this information will help you. Best Regards. Don Scott - Owner
