What a great place to come back to after a visit to Yosemite!! Loved that we could relax and reflect on our days activities! Brenda and John are wonderful hosts and made us feel right at home. Full breakfast with lots of choices.
Great place to relax and unwind, especially after a day in Yosemite. Hearty breakfast each morning and very helpful innkeepers who personally helped my wife and I plan our day in Yosemite to see the most in a limited time. Highly recommend.

I will add that Sierra Mountain Lodge B&B is a beautiful place to wait out a snowstorm if one occurs or just to 'hang out' for at least part of your stay up there. Yosemite is beautiful, of course, but the lodge is nice enough to be its own destination as well and the owners are super-nice. You'll have a great time whether it snows or not!
How are driving conditions to Yosemite in the Winter? We would like to go over there near Christmas time, but are not very experienced with driving in the snow.

Morning, we are at 3000 foot elevation and winter days can vary from snow to 60 degree days at our location. To enter Yosemite in the winter you can either take the El Portal entrance which is around 4000 foot elevation or the Hwy 41 entrance which climbs up over 6500 foot elevation. Snow chains are required to be carried in your vehicle during the winter season in case they are needed. They plow the roads quickly and most road if closed during a storm open back up within a couple hours. Tioga Pass, Glacier Point road and the road to Mariposa Grove are all closed for the winter season. Badger Pass is scheduled to open this weekend for snow skiing.
Hope this information helps. Happy to have you join us,
