Arriving at Hodder House I had a sense of anticipation that here was a special experience. A beautifully restored historic house offering shelter to me and my daughters whilst we enjoyed a Mother's day night away. John and Therese are such friendly hosts. The house is filled with interesting details, not to mention the garden. The beds must be the most comfortable in the Wairarapa. And the breakfast comprised delicious homemade granola, fresh yogurt, specially baked bread rolls (that John is a genius chef! ) accompanied by feijoa preserve. As we left Therese gifted us a bag of feijoas and another of lemons from their garden. A highly personal and recommended place to stay.
Stayed here for a wedding. It’s a beautiful historic house with a nice garden. Very comfortable room. The owners were great and made us an amazing breakfast with produce from the garden. Highly recommended
