Dear Lacus C., thank you very much for taking the time to post your comments concerning your stay with us at the Best Western Plus City Center. I use the google translate tool to read them as I don’t understand Japanese language unfortunately. Your feedback is very much appreciated and I can assure you that we use this information to do everything possible to create an enjoyable experience for each of our guests. I would like to take the opportunity to advise all tripadvisor users that our neighbor is getting a major makeover. In fact, a 20 story building and an underground parking is actually in construction at the Jacques-Cartier Place, promising to become the center stage of downtown Quebec. We are very excited about those great news. We work daily to minimize the construction impact on the high quality of service and sleep we always provide. Of course, noise could be louder from Monday to Friday, 7 am to 5 pm, but we are always available to answer all requests or any concerns you may have. So thank you once again for this review. It was a true pleasure to have you stay with us and we hope that you will visit us again the next time you are in Quebec City. We look forward to it!
Bonjour,
Thank you for this review concerning your stay at the Best Western Plus City Centre Quebec. I used Google translate to read your comments as I don’t speak Japanese. I appreciate that you took the time to post your comments online. Thank you also for sharing the good tip of taking a taxi to the old town with other travelers. A cab ride from our hotel to Place d'Youville, the entrance of the old Québec, will cost you about 12.00$ and will save you from walking up the hill! Our area of the city, 15 minutes walk from Old Quebec, is called the Nouvo St-Roch. It has developed its touristic facet over the last decade and continues to grow with the opening of many shops as well as by welcoming more and more events every year. Speaking of which, we wish to inform you of important changes in the urban landscape near the hotel. Indeed, as part of on-going efforts to improve the St-Roch district, revitalizing work is currently underway, including the remodeling of Place Jacques Cartier, the building of a mixed residential and commercial 20 floor tower, the establishment of a new underground parking and the expansion and modernization of the Gabrielle-Roy library. The active phase of the work is Monday through Friday, 7am to 5pm. Consequently, the sound level may be slightly higher during this period. While this is completely out of our control, we would like to apologize for any possible inconvenience. Rest assured that our staff is totally dedicated to making your stay the most enjoyable. It was a true pleasure to have you stay with us and we hope you will visit us again at the Best Western City Centre Quebec the next time you are in Quebec City.

"RTC" buses 800 -801 can take you near the Old Quebec in 2 - 3 minutes(2.60$). Our Italian restaurant is opened for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Room service is available until 10 pm at night. Valet parking is available with an extra charge for our guests. Details available upon check in. We also invite you to discover St-Joseph street with its restaurants, cafés, boutiques and up scale shops. We also suggest to walk down the street at night to enjoy a "free to public venue" from the famous Cirque du Soleil until September 6th. 2009 Wednesdays thru Sundays. Priceline is a discount travel site that offers low prices for unsold room (Run of the House). The travellers who use Priceline should "make their own price (bid price)" and Priceline find a hotel who are accept your bid. we have made some researches to understand what happened during your arrival to the hotel. First, I would like to inform you about our registration policy at our property. Upon arrival, we always ask for a credit card and we take an authorization on it. This authorization is higher than the cost of the room so that the guests can charge incidentals on their room bill. The front desk clerk who did your registration was a new employee. Unfortunately, she had made a mistake about the amount of the credit authorization for your room. I appreciate your taking the time to write a review and hope you will accept my apologies for any inconvenience you experienced.
